Glenda Ixmata is from Guatemala and has been living in New York for almost four years. From a young age, she felt a deep interest in learning and working with children, which led her to become a teacher in her home country. During her years as a teacher, she discovered the importance of psychology in education. This experience inspired her to study Psychology, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2020.

In 2021, Glenda moved to New York with the goal of continuing her passion for teaching and further developing her professional skills. While looking for opportunities, she found Mi Casita, where she has been working for over a year. During this time, she has greatly enjoyed supporting children’s growth, encouraging their independence, and learning from them every day.

Glenda is currently expecting her first baby, a stage of life that has given her new insights into human development and the importance of early education.

In her free time, she loves watching movies, listening to music, and dancing. For Glenda, teaching is not just a profession, but a calling one that combines her love for children, her curiosity about human development, and her desire to create a learning environment full of respect, joy, and creativity.
