Karla Bravo was born and raised in Chile, where she developed her passion for education and art. A year ago, her life took a significant turn when she and her family moved to New York for her husband’s job. This change has been an enriching adventure for her, and especially for her son, who is about to turn three and who has been part of the educational community at Mi Casita.
Her academic journey began in Chile, where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her desire to continue growing in her career led her to study Elementary and Middle School Education with a specialization in Family Guidance and counseling. Over the past thirteen years, she has had the satisfaction of working as an educator, a profession that has allowed her to positively impact the lives of many children and their families.
Education has always been a fundamental part of her life, and this was reflected when, through her best friends in New York, she discovered Mi Casita. They spoke wonders about the place, and as soon as she learned they were looking for a teacher, she knew she had to be part of the community. Being part of Mi Casita has allowed her to continue her career in a multicultural and dynamic environment. In addition to her career in education, she’s a Make-up Artist and Hairstylist, a practice that she is deeply passionate about. In her free time, she enjoys doing makeup, hairstyling, and hair treatments, combining creativity with technique. Recently, she’s explored face painting for children, which has allowed her to connect with little ones in an artistic and fun way. This life journey from Chile to New York has been a blend of challenges and discoveries. Through education and art, she’s found ways to express her identity and contribute to the well-being of others, which gives her satisfaction and purpose every day.
